Elliott: Mr. Elliott is in his twelfth year as Principal at
Saint
Patrick
School
. Mr. Elliott has many years of teaching and administrative
experience from both Prince William and
Spotsylvania
Counties
. Mr. Elliott earned a B.A. in Education from
Marshall
University
and an M.A. in Administration & Supervision from Virginia Tech.
Maureen
Goonan: This is Mrs. Goonan's eleventh year as the Preschool
Program Director and Teacher at Saint Patrick School. She says she has
the best job in the world!
Sally
Berube: Mrs.
Berube has retuned to St. Patrick School and is teaching Kindergarten.
She taught here at St. Patrick School from 1996-2000. She has
been teaching Kindergarten for 22 years. Mrs. Berube and her
husband Ron have been married for 38 years. They spent 27 of
those years in the USMC and have been stationed in several states and
overseas.
Mrs. Berube attended George Mason University, but received her B.S. in
Early Childhood Education from the University of Maine at Fort Kent.
Jestine
Dooney: This is Ms. Dooney's third year teaching at St.
Patrick School. Ms. Dooney taught in the first grade classroom for two
years and this is her first year teaching fourth grade. Prior to working at St.
Patrick's, Ms. Dooney
completed her student teaching and taught Second Grade for three months
at Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa, Japan. She graduated from
Fayetteville State University and with a degree in Elementary Education
and a minor in Mathematics.
Patrick
Looby: Mr. Looby has eight years of previous teaching experience at the high school
level. He holds degrees in Religious Studies and Philosophy from Wadhams
Hall Seminary. Currently Mr. Looby is working towards his Masters degree
in Education and Counseling. He served as the Director of Campus
Ministry for Ursuline Academy in Dallas and as the Assistant Director of
Campus Ministry for a Newman Community that served two colleges in
northern New York. Mr. Looby has also been the Director of Contemporary
Music for parishes in Texas and New York where he had the opportunity to
compose original pieces for use in liturgy.
Megan
Eny: This is Mrs. Eny's fourth year teaching at Saint Patrick
School. She is the Sixth Grade Homeroom teacher and is responsible for
Middle School History, Math, and Sixth Grade Reading. She also serves as
the Student Government advisor. Having graduated with her B.A. in
Education from Longwood University, Mrs. Eny is proud to be the first
Saint Patrick School alumnus to teach at our school. Website

Diane
Knerr: Mrs. "K" has been teaching at Saint
Patrick School for 15 years and was named Teacher of the Year in 2006.
She teaches Eighth Grade homeroom and Middle School Math, Science, and
English. Mrs. K has also been the Science Fair coordinator for many
years. She earned a B.S. from Radford University.
Deborah
Walsh: This is Mrs. Walsh's seventh year teaching at Saint
Patrick School. She is currently our school's Technology Instructor, PE
teacher, and she also teaches Fifth Grade Science. Additionally, Mrs.
Walsh is the coordinator for our "Witness to the Word" program
and the Diocesan Trainer for Activeboards. In 2001, Mrs. Walsh was named
"Teacher of the Year" at Falmouth Elementary School. In 2007,
she was named "Distinguished Teacher of the Year" at our
school. Mrs. Walsh is a graduate of Mary Washington College.

Deanna
Dvorak: Mrs. Dvorak has directed the Saint Patrick School
Library for the past ten years. She coordinates library classes,
volunteers, and maintains/updates the library book and media inventory.
Mrs. Dvorak has an M.S. in Education and came to us after retiring from
the Fairfax County Public Schools with twenty years of experience.
James
Duffy: For many years Mr. Duffy has been the maintenance man,
morning greeter, and Guardian Angel program coordinator for Saint
Patrick School. He has quietly and respectfully provided food baskets,
household supplies, and emergency funds for many families in need. Mr.
Duffy assists St. Patrick School with just about anything we might need.

Martha
Massad: Mrs. Massad is the Saint Patrick School Administrative
Assistant. She manages the school office, provides first aid to many of
our students, and is an expert at multi-tasking. For the past twelve
years, Mrs. Massad has held various full-time positions within the
school. Mrs. Massad is a Fredericksburg native and a graduate of the
University of Mary Washington with a B.A. in Economics.
Anne
Dihlmann: This is Mrs. Dihlmann's third year as the Preschool
Aide for Saint Patrick School. Over the past seven years she has been a
substitute in Preschool and assisted the middle school students in
a newspaper and yearbook elective.
Virginia
Storm: Saint Patrick School welcomes Ms. Storm to the faculty as a
Preschool Aide. Ms. Storm truly enjoys helping the preschoolers to
learn. Her prior experience includes being the Secretarial Assistant at
the office of Matthew T. Storm, D.D.S., and working at Hazelwild Farm as
a Summer Camp Riding Assistant/Counselor.
Mary
Jane Gowarty: This is Mrs. Gowarty's seventh year as the
Kindergarten Aide. Prior to joining our staff, Mrs. Gowarty was named
Volunteer of the Year in recognition of her extensive volunteer work at
our school. She has been a Girl Scout Leader and also co-founded the
Charitable Acts Club, where students worked on crafts projects that are
blessed upon completion and given to others in need of special prayer.
Missie
Dort: Mrs. Dort is the First Grade Aide for Saint Patrick
School and this is her ninth year working at our school. Mrs. Dort also
prepares articles for the Free-Lance Star newspaper throughout the
school year about the current happenings at school. Prior to joining the
First Grade classroom, Mrs. Dort worked in Saint Patrick School's
Preschool.
Annette
Talsma: Mrs. Talsma has been teaching Third Grade at Saint
Patrick School for eight years. She is currently serving on the
curriculum mapping team for the diocese and is also the PTO faculty
representative for the school.
She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of South Dakota
and a graduate degree in Elementary Education from the Mary Washington
College for Graduate Studies. Mrs. Talsma is married and has two sons,
who are both attending George Mason University. In her spare time she
teaches CCD classes at St. Mary's in Fredericksburg.
Maureen
Guilfoyle: Mrs. Guilfoyle teaches Fifth Grade at St.
Patrick School. In addition, she coordinates both the Summer Reading
Program and Battle of the Books, where students compete each spring with
other Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Arlington. Mrs. Guilfoyle is a
graduate of Hunter College and completed a Master's of Religious
Education program through Loyola University and the Diocese of Richmond.
She taught at Roanoke Catholic School for more than 20 years.

Lilly
Cleary: Mrs. Cleary teaches First Grade. She is happy to
be back in First Grade after 5 years of teaching Middle School.
This will be her seventeenth year of teaching at Saint
Patrick School. Mrs. Cleary has previously taught Preschool; Middle
School Language Arts, Math & Religion; and Spanish K-8. Mrs.
Cleary has been married for 23 years and has three children, all of whom
are St. Pat's alumni and are now in college. In her free time, Mrs.
Cleary teaches CCD and sews costumes for a local dinner theater.
Betsy
Bankey: This is Mrs. Bankey’s second year as the Art teacher for
Saint Patrick School and. she taught Fourth Grade here in 2005-06.
Mrs. Bankey has more than eleven years of teaching experience in
Catholic schools. She received her B.A. in Fine Art from
Maryland
College

Peg
McClay: Mrs. McClay is a member of our Extended Day Staff and
works in the office in he afternoon. "Miss Peg" was born in
Alexandria, but has lived in the Fredericksburg area for the past twenty
years. She has volunteered and/or worked for Saint Patrick School since
its opening.
